Macro Orange

Part of me thinks I should start learning the names of what I’m photographing. But part of me thinks this is fine… part of me likes the innocence and simplicity that comes along with not knowing what this flower is called.

All I know is that it is beautiful.

And that’s really all I need to know, right? I mean, there’s a word and a name for everything under the sun. But I don’t have to necessarily know the name of a galaxy or star cluster that I’m staring at to know that it is beautiful. Or the name of an animal, or waterfall, or anything else. I can appreciate the beauty of nature in somewhat a state of ignorance at the same time.

How thankful I am for that!
